Employment Opportunity – Dock Hand

We are NOW HIRING for a Part Time Dock Hand.  This is a seasonal position.

JOB SUMMARY

This self-starter will work alongside our marina crew to ensure the cleanliness of our rental houseboats and pontoon boats, pressure wash boats, tie up returning boats, refuel and top off water on returning rental boats, assist the marine technicians and various other duties as necessary.

 Position:                      Dock Hand

  Status:                         Part Time – approximately 16 – 20 hours per week /  Seasonal

  Compensation:            $11 per hour + tips

  Job Description:

• Clean exteriors of houseboats and pontoon boats
• Remove and dispose of trash on rental boats
• Secure returning rental boats to fuel dock
• Top off fuel and water on rental houseboats
• Pressure wash boats
• Assist marine technicians with various duties
• Other duties as necessary

  Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Reliable transportation
• Self-starter with the initiative to get the job done without constant oversight
• Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly frequent movements from place to place within the boat and the boat storage area.
• Bend, lift, carry, reach/extend arms and hands above shoulder height frequently, or otherwise move in a constantly changing environment
• Lift, carry, and/or push up to 20 lbs. regularly, 30 lbs. frequently, and up to 40 lbs. occasionally
• Able to stand for extended periods
• Climb steps regularly
• Speech recognition and clarity, including the ability to understand the speech of co-workers and the ability to speak clearly to be understood by same in English
• Physical presence at the job site is essential to perform job duties
• Must be able to work holidays

  Hours:

Friday:             8:30am to 1pm or until the job is done

Monday:          8:30am to 1pm or until the job is done

Wednesday:    8:30am to 5pm
