Hello
We like your marina and are thinking about moving
to Fl. We live in Portland ,Or on boats now. We would
like to live on boats in Fl. What would it cost to
moor a 40' tollycraft or maybe even 45' to 50'. And
do you have enough water all year long for such boats?
Please reply Thank you Rick C

Dear Rick & Judy, Well here we come again. This
will be our fourth time cruising with you. As a Environmentalist
and a Wildlife Rehabilitator I totally recommend a
cruise with you. What a get-away. A small touch of
what Florida used to be way back when. As you cruise
the river you can't help but wonder what it was like
when it was the only way to get to central Forida.
You can almost hear the Steamboats coming around the
bend. Pull up on one of the many islands and stay
the night. Wake up in the morning to the refreshing
sounds of your alarm clock, the birds, the wildlife,
etc. What a wonderful education and understanding
you get of our frail ecosystems. I have only one problem
with the trip and that is: time just slips by to quick.
You hate to come back in. See your guys this afternoon.

Your
site is well done. I'd like to know how much time
in advance does one need to make reservations. Kelly
|
- You should make reservations
as early as possible!

My
husband and I have traded our timeshare to spend a
week on your boats 2 times and cannot say enough nice
things about the boat, the instructors/all around
"help the landlubbers" people. They are friendly,
helpful, informative, and we look forward to another
week this year. Elaine P Riverview, FL

We
are contemplating a rental very
soon. Your web site has provided us with an abundance
of information, as well as instilling an excitement
that no other site could. (I commend you on your excellent
site.) We have 6 children, what a exciting way to
provide appreciation and enthusiasm for them, with
an experience of familial support in renting one of
your boats and spending some time with the "old folks"
that provide them with foundation and confidence in
their young lives. Thank You, Bobby

Tell
me directions to get to your place from St. Augustine.
would like to stay over night in motel or camp out.Want
to rent a boat for a day checking area for possible
longer stay. Advise. John K |
- John, a good place to start is our location
page! If you don't
find detailed enough directions there, feel free to
give us a call at: 1-800-237-5105. |
Please
mail us some information on houseboat rentals, boat
sizes, facilities, rates (in and off-season), river
map, food and shopping, etc. We've never done it but
good friends have and they tell us it is very relaxing
and enjoyable. We are looking at either winter or summer
2004. When is the off-season? Tx! Charles |

Charles, give us a call at: 1-800-237-5105 for a copy
of our NEW Cruising Guide and Houseboat Handbook! It's
full of useful information! |
We
had a wonderful time on the houseboat! We were there
in August and I just made reservations to go back in
April. The staff could not have been more helpful! LOVED
IT! AND CANT WAIT TO GET BACK! |
Well,
we're back home just one week after spending four GLORIOUS
days on the river. We loved the boat (#8)--well, except
for that couch, but no big deal. The anchorage behind
the island down around marker 109 provided an awesome
opportunity to view the wildlife, from ospreys and vultures
to wild hogs, turtles and more gators than we have ever
seen anywhere (hard to believe they're a "threatened"
species)! We had dinner Tuesday evening at the Blackwater
Cafe and found it very accessible by boat; the food
and service were pretty decent. Thanks to your friendly
staff; we had a great time, and look forward to doing
it again. Steve R Bradenton, FL |
WOW!!!
Just returned from our wonderful vacation. May 22 thru
29. The photo's don't do justice to how nice and roomy
the timeshare boat was. With 4 teenager kids you would
think they would grow tired quickly. Not the case, no
one wanted to return home. We all had a wonderful time,
and got plenty of fresh air sun shine and lots of quiet
time, while enjoying all the sites. Lots of gators,
otters, deer, turkey, and numerous other water fowl
to sit back and observe at your leisure. Collected many
Kodak moments! We enjoyed it so much were planning on
coming again in the future. Highly recommend Holly Bluff
Marina and Staff, were a pleasure to deal with. Thanks
again for a great vacation. Stephanie |
I
wanted to send this note to let everyone know that this
marina and service was the best. Having never gone out
on a houseboat, we found that the whole experience is
one to revisit. Great Job, great crew, and great location.

Hi:
The website is fabulous. The Marina and grounds look
impeccable! Kudos to the staff....your pride shows in
the grounds, marina, etc. I will be down Sept 10th for
my FIRST of many return trips!!! Seems like that date
is so far away...I can hardly wait!!
need a direction map
to get to Holly Bluff Marina |

I
rented a 38' houseboat this summer and enjoyed every
moment on the river. Last night my wife said she wants
to do it again next summer. This is a no-brainer. MAybe
we'll go for a bigger boat and more company next time.
Hope to see you next summer. I also hope you came through
the recent storms OK. Best wishes, James and Alva G.

Haven't
experienced yet, but intend to. What rate do you offer
for 4 adults on 45' lux boat for one week beginning
12/24/04? Is small Yorkie permitted with us? |
|
We've
been here three times and love it. The houseboats are
wonderful, the marina staff are always helpful and they
just seem to like their jobs. It's the most relaxing
vacation one can take. Thanks to our timeshare, we will
be back. |
I've
been houseboating in Kentucky and Tennessee for years
but had not considered Florida! Thanks for this intesesting
website and while I'm doubtful I will swim with "gators"
in the water, I'd love to try one of your houseboats
and enjoy watching! D.Caves Indiana |

We
just returned from our first weekend on the River on
a Holly Bluff 38' houseboat; what an awesome experience!
Yes, there are pirates on the St. John's, but they are
of the friendly persuasion. We want to thank the people
at Holly Bluff for their most thoughtful approach to
equipping their boats; we had everything we needed to
cook and eat our food on the very nice grill provided
on board, and everything was super clean, as well. From
the front desk to the time we left, my husband, myself,
our 9 year old son and our 2 dogs were treated very
nicely by everyone we encountered. We would most definitely
reccommend Holly Bluff Marina to anyone looking to buy
or rent a boat. We will definitely be coming back soon
(we are thinking about having a floating family reunion).
Many thanks to you all for a wonderful experience! Michael,
Sharon & Tyler Thompson ( and Sammy & RatDog,
